The Pennsylvania Bar Association held its Midyear Meeting in The Bahamas from January 30, 2020- February 1, 2020 which included a continuing legal education program. As part of the program, the Honourable Justices Bernad Turner and G. Diane Stewart of the Supreme Court were on a panel which discussed multijurisdictional issues between the legal systems of the United States and The Bahamas. Further, several members of the Association had a tour of the courtroom of the Honourable Chief Justice Sir Brian M. Moree, Q.C. The Honourable Chief Justice spoke briefly of the hierarchy of the courts and generally about the similarities and differences between the United States and the Bahamian legal system.
